Tiny text: small caps, superscript and subscript
Small caps (ᴀʙᴄ) are capital letters drawn at lowercase size — the cleanest tiny text, with a letter for every one from A to Z. Superscript (ᵃᵇᶜ) sits high like an exponent and subscript (ₐₑₒ) sits low like the 2 in H₂O.
Unicode is missing a few: there is no superscript q (we use ᑫ) and subscript has only 17 letters, so the others stay normal size. For maths and chemistry use the superscript generator.
Questions
Why are some letters not small?
Subscript only exists for a, e, h, i, j, k, l, m, n, o, p, r, s, t, u, v and x. The other letters stay as they are.
Does tiny text work on TikTok and Instagram?
Yes. Small caps work everywhere; superscript letters are slightly less common but show on all current phones.
Can I make numbers small?
Yes — superscript ⁰¹²³⁴⁵⁶⁷⁸⁹ and subscript ₀₁₂₃₄₅₆₇₈₉ digits exist for every number.
