Superscript Generator

Type numbers or letters and copy them as superscript (x²) or subscript (H₂O).

  • Small capsx2 + ʏ2 = ᴢ2
  • Superscriptˣ² ⁺ ʸ² ⁼ ᶻ²
  • Subscriptₓ₂ ₊ y₂ ₌ z₂

How to use it

  1. Type your text, for example m2, 10-3 or CO2.
  2. Copy the superscript line for exponents and footnotes, or the subscript line for chemical formulas.
  3. Paste it into a message, a spreadsheet cell or a document.

Superscript numbers and letters

Every digit has a superscript (⁰¹²³⁴⁵⁶⁷⁸⁹) and a subscript (₀₁₂₃₄₅₆₇₈₉), plus the signs ⁺ ⁻ ⁼ ⁽ ⁾ and ₊ ₋ ₌ ₍ ₎. That covers square metres (m²), cubic feet (ft³), powers (10⁻³), footnotes (¹) and formulas (H₂O, CO₂).

Subscript keeps capital letters at normal size, so CO2 becomes CO₂, as chemistry needs.
